I liked this book a lot. It ws very moving, very beautifully written. It was very descriptive and you easily become attached to Andromeda and Katherine Fitzgerald (a.k.a Anna and Kate). It is very sad that Kate is so sick, yet if you have also seen the movie, you know she is a beautiful person and not just in looks. She is gorgeous on the inside because she is not ashamed that she has leukaemia. She is actually sort of proud but sick of it at the same time.
I very much enjoyed reading this book, because I could easily form what was happening in my head.
Please post your opinions on this.

I thought My Sister's Keeper was good, but not great.
The writing was repetitive, with Sara's chapters (the mum) always having the same ideas - tell a bit of a story and end with Kate saying somthing depressing about death that leaves the chapter ending all sad. The dad's chapters were better, but also repetitive with some lesson on something about stars or fire.
However, I like the way Picoult showed the expanse of characters and the different ways they dealt with their problems. Campbell's relationship with Julia and his [illness] works well and is sometimes a welcome distraction from the depressing Sara. The most interesting character for me, was Jesse, the son, whose chapters were interesting and a lot more fun to read than the others.
I must say, it took me ages to get through this book, and from what I've heard, it seems that most of Picuoult's books tread the same sort of plots just with different charcters and illnesses. I liked the way it didn't focus too much on Kate though, but everyone else.
Did you go back and read the prologue bit when you finished? I remember when I first read it I thought it was from the POV of one character, but after finishing, that changed into another.
I got the film for christmas and I thought it was okay, just not as good as the book. It focused too much on the whole illness and hospital thing with Kate, rather than how her illness effects her family. They also cut out Julia and Campbell's relationship, which sucked. It's sad because of the whole kid with cancer plot, but it doesn't have the same sense of originality that the book had, because the book wasn't centralled around illness, but its effects on others.
