Ahh, every writer's favorite thing to encounter. Am I right? Well I for one am having so much fun with it. I mean look! It's allowing me to write sarcastic posts. Anyway I didn't come here to be sarcastic. I came here for, well...help.I do indeed have a awful case of writer's block. And it's not the "stuck in the middle of a story kind"oh no, it's the "I have no idea to even write with" kind I've tried just sitting down and writing but I couldn't do it without an outline.Which brings me to this; what is your favorite way to get an idea? When you encounter this type of thing what do you do? I've tried everything, reading, just sitting down to write, talking a walk, and got nothing. So could you help me out? You guys are so great if you can!

sometimes, you just lose your muse. it happens. It happened to me all summer. I'm just now beginning to recover from it, actually. Basically you just wait for it to come back... in the form of an idea, or an event, or anything. Reading always helps, you can never read enough...

Okay, this is a perfect time for this, and this always helps me out;
1) Go and chug a caffeinated beverage, right now. Coffee or Mountain dew or Pepsi or something are good. Or, wait until the point where you're tired, but unable to sleep at all, then chug something.
2) Go for a walk again, I'm assuming you live in the suburbs or a rural area because you walked around earlier. Breath in the smells. Everything smells better at night when you're wired; it smells almost as good as a forest....
3)If you don't have anything good after those, flip through something you've written before, or a favorite book, and try to figure out what you liked about it, then write something like that.
Hope this helps!

I don't know whether it works for anyone else, but whenever I have a writers block, I watch a good movie (preferably one with high graphics and lots of action) or play a computer game with again, good graphics, unique characters, etc.
I don't know, it just gets me inspired to try and make something as good as whatever I'm seeing, and the ideas start flowing...
(Maybe this might only help the other lunatics like me, but it's worth a shot...)

This is a post I did earlier. Maybe it'll help:

Just remember, writer's block is something all writers get now and then. Don't let it get you down. It'll soon be over! ;)

I wrote a list of what I was writing and needed to write, and that helped with the writer's block for a while...I need to find that list again

*Shrugs* Didn't really notice when this was all posted...I randomly noticed this thread and looked at it because I have a deep, deep hatred of writer's block. Raising the dead can be fun though...Zombies and skeletons all over the place, an undead army...
