View Full Version : Vote Hoax

Out of a total 2,490 overseas ballot cast, the Times found about 22% were illegal, but counted anyways. These included ballots with no postmark or evidence that it had been sent in before the deadline, ballots without signatures, ballots from unregistered voters, late ballots, and ballots in which a voter had voted twice, both of which were counted. Most of these ballots were in favor of Republican candidate Bush. That was in 2000. In 2004, Bush ran again. During this time, a consulting firm called Sproul & Associates, hired by the Republican National Committee, was discovered shredding Democratic registrations. In New Mexico, ballot machines failed to properly register a presidential vote for more than 20,000 ballots. As many as 1 million votes were spoiled, one very one hundred cast. In Ohio, which had at least 357,000 voters, (the majority of which were democratic), were prevented from casting ballots (or their vote didn’t count). One in every four citizens in Ohio showed up to vote, only to discover their registration had disappeared.

The media, the courts, and election officials are the three most influence sources. Many people believe that what they say is one hundred percent true without questioning anything they say. Therefore, I believe that they worked together to ensure that their man got elected, and in this case, their man was Bush. The media, including printed material like newspapers and magazines, and news station were in favor of his election, and therefore both denied this conspiracy. However, there were a few media sects who spoke out against popular belief, like the Rolling Stone, and CNN. Also, the courts are very important because they are the ones who decides what is true, and that people should just accept it. Election officials are also corrupt, because they control basically the outcome of the election, and if they are in favor of one party or one person, they can change the outcome.

Bush benefits both elections because he becomes president and looks ‘good’. The Republican Party benefits because it is another victory for them over the democrats, and makes it seem like they have more power.

The democracy is at risk if the will of the people is hijacked. This country is about democracy, and if our votes don’t count or if our leader is a fraud, then it turns into kind of a monarchy because we really don’t have control over our leaders or what happens in this country.

We should make the voting system more honest, make sure that we stick to our deadlines and all tampering with voting must be dealt with severe consequences. All voters can only be counted once, and must be registered. If a candidate is found messing around with the votes, he should be eliminated from the list of candidate’s immediately.

Hail to the chief or I'm gonna have to kill you, I am the chief so you better watch your step you bastard.

My Fellow Americans is a great movie...

Anyway, the problem, as you mention isn't as much the massive voting fraud as it is the fact that nobody cares enough to ask the obvious questions and fix this fucked up electoral system. Like, for example, how did Gore more votes and lose the election? Does anybody else think that is the stupidest fucking thing since the sixth season of Fresh Prince?

:D Very good essay, well written and you seem to have paid it a lot of thought and attention. There is what appears to be a spelling error: one very one hundred cast. Is this supposed to be one for every hundred cast? Apart from that, you're lacking and intro but for some reason it just made it more exciting, because you leapt straight to your topic. So whether you add one or not is your choice. :D Well done!

Wow...that was actually quite shocking seeing as we are supposed to be a 'democratic' country and whatnot....

Plus it was very well written so well done!

Thank you all. The reason I believe people dont question the system is that they are too naive and believes every word the corrupt media feeds them.

Well actually, the electoral college did us a favor electing Bush even though Gore had more of the popular vote...because then Gore couldn't have made that fabulous documentary about how we're all going to die.

again, hail to the thief.
